As you already know (since you're reading this), I'm embarking on a personal and professional adventure to Africa from mid-July to mid-November. I will be living in Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia, and working for CDC's Global AIDS Program (GAP) there. More info on the fellowship is here, and on GAP here.
A few folks have suggested I keep a blog for everyone back home, so this is my attempt to share thoughts, experiences, and photos while I'm away.
I have no idea how often I'll post or what this journal will become, but please comment often and harass me through other means to ensure I post regularly. I can set the site to automatically email a group of folks whenever I post, so let me know if you'd like to be added to that list. Wish me luck, and keep in touch! --JPC
