I found flights to Cape Town for $515 roundtrip by using 2 different airlines, which is MUCH cheaper than the $800 I paid last time, so decision made! I'll be going from November 15th-18th, and perhaps this time I can actually get to Robben Island and up Table Mountain.
I also changed my flight back to D.C. Now, instead of flying straight from Johannesburg --> Atlanta or D.C. I'm now doing Lusaka --> Johannesburg (2 hour layover) --> Paris --> D.C. This is brilliant because:
- I break up the flight and don't have a 17 hour leg
- I get to cut out the layover in Atlanta
- I can take advantage of government travel policy and stay 2 days in Paris
Monumentally pumped.

Way to go with the travel planning!
Very jealous! I love Paris.
this is so lame and monumentally non-pressing (considering all the fab and impressive things you're doing), but...are you coming to the 10 year reunion? ;) I have someone's copy of Hitchhiker's. I'm not going to give it back...but I might show you a picture of its new life.
Awesome and I am very jealous!
Hey Justin, you'll have to let me know how Paris is! (Probably at the Christmas Eve family gathering.) I'll be there for nine days in January as part of a trip to Europe with my school. Have fun!
